This is the first of our monthly updates, which we promised to you on the first day of the official, national launch of CCHI on September 15th. The response has been overwhelming and our mailbag, email and phones have been filled with words of support, comments, and questions. Thank you for reaching out to everyone at CCHI, through our website, to show your support.
More than 600 individuals have signed up in the past four weeks to be part of the CCHI community and we will send regular updates like this one to keep you informed. The need for your leadership and commitment to the entire field of healthcare interpreting has never been greater. You and people like you – the most experienced and respected in healthcare organizations, healthcare interpreting and healthcare certification – form the backbone and brainpower at CCHI.
Please encourage your friends and colleagues to also sign up (find this on our homepage) so we can include them in the national dialogue on healthcare interpreter certification.
Your talents and expertise are critical to ensuring we get it right and we invite you to visit our website regularly for the latest updates, continue to offer feedback through our blog, and respond to our calls for participation when they come to your inbox.
