The Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) congratulates all healthcare interpreters who have earned the CHI™ (Certified Healthcare Interpreter™) Certification and AHI™ (Associate Healthcare Interpreter™) Credential. The CHI™ and AHI™ credentials are the nation’s highest credential available to healthcare interpreters and professional recognition of their qualification.

CCHI began credentialing and certifying interpreters in January 2010.  We have over 400 CHI™ certificants and AHI™ recipients. CCHI is pleased to offer an interpreter registry to healthcare providers, patients, coordinators of interpreting services, and language service providers who, with the CHI™ and AHI™ credentials, can now ensure the competency of healthcare interpreters across a wide variety of languages in a valid, consistent, and reliable way.

CCHI offers a credential verification system at the CCHI Community Center. This feature provides a searchable interpreter registry through which one can verify a healthcare interpreter's CCHI credential. Healthcare interpreters and other stakeholders can access this feature at: https://cchi.learningbuilder.com.
