Certification Test Item Writers – CCHI’s Certification Test is comprised of a series of test questions also know as test items. We will write test items continually to ensure that we have a robust item bank from which to create each examination form. Each test item must meet specific criteria to ensure that they are aligned to the test blueprint and are psychometrically sound. Item writers will receive training on how to write valid questions and will be provided reference materials to assist in researching and writing items. While it is helpful to have item writing or test development expertise, it is not required. Members of the Languages of Lesser Diffusion (LLD) Credentialing Task Force – Regardless of the language they speak, all interpreters have the right to seek professional credentialing and certification. CCHI wants to ensure that the credentialing process for interpreters of LLD is valid and meaningful. Members of the Task Force will research the LLD interpreters’ assessment issue and provide recommendations to CCHI regarding credentialing for healthcare interpreters working in LLD by the end of 2012. Thank you for your participation. |
